It looks like the next battle is right around the corner, and this time living legends Bobby Brown and Keith Sweat will be battling it out hit-for-hit. There is no doubt that they both have legendary catalogs and now fans will have the pleasure of watching them face off during this year’s Essence Festival.
The battle will be taking place on Thursday, July 1st during Essence’s virtual festival experience as they prepare for the second weekend of their annual festival.
As we all know, both Bobby Brown and Keith Sweat have dominated the R&B scene for decades. Bobby of course is one of the original members of New Edition and he has also had a successful solo career as well. Giving us classic hits such as “My Prerogative,” “Every Little Step,” “Roni,” and much more. His life story was covered in the 2018 BET two-part film “The Bobby Brown Story,” which starred Woody McClain as Bobby Brown.
Keith Sweat is responsible for giving us classics such as “Make It Last Forever,” “Nobody,” “Twisted and much more. He’s been credited for being one of the earlier artists to help usher in the new jack swing musical movement.
