Boeing Dedicates $100 Million To Families Impacted By 737 Max Plane Crashes

Roommates, just a few months back, Boeing 737 jets made headlines after two fatal crashes. Now, Boeing is giving back to those in need!

According to CNN, the company is donating $100 million to support the families impacted by the tragic crashes. The company reportedly says the money will be given to local nonprofits and community groups, which will help distribute the money.

The funds are reportedly being dedicated to support education, including college tuition and living expenses for families who may have lost a loved one.

“We at Boeing are sorry for the tragic loss in both these accidents and these lives will continue to weigh heavily on our hearts and our minds for years to come,” said Denis Muilenberg, CEO at Boeing.

Families that accept funds from the company will also be able to pursue legal action against the company, a Boeing spokesperson said. The company is currently facing several lawsuits over the incidents.

Although the company is taking a step in the right direction, Muilenberg says this effort is just the beginning.

“The families and loved ones of those on board have our deepest sympathies, and we hope this initial outreach can help bring them comfort.

As we previously reported, Boeing’s 737 Max jets have been grounded worldwide after an Ethiopian airlines flight crashed just moments after takeoff.

Keep these families in your prayers during this difficult time, Roomies!
