George, you are not gonna do my baby daddy like that!
The frontman of the iconic group, Culture Club, has recently dethroned Tom Jones as the new judge on The Voice, UK. And as with any new show it’s important to get those ratings up…sometimes by any means necessary.
After joining the already star-studded panel that includes Will.i.am and singers Ricky Wilson and Paloma Faith, Boy George started feelin’ himself as he sparked a convo about the legends he’s worked with during the span of his career.
He boasted, “I have duetted with some of the greatest soul singers in history including Luther Vandross and Smokey Robinson,” but then Miss Paloma shock back with, “Well OK, if we’re throwing big soul names out there I’ve performed with Prince.”
But chiiiiiile, BG clapped back with the biggest goop in history. He replied, “Forget that, darling, I’ve slept with Prince.” According to Daily Mail UK, the crowd lost it and Will.i.am., for whatever reason, thought it was great that George said that on national television so he high-fived him.
A source told the UK publication, “[The] production staff had to come up on stage and speak to them. After that, Boy George started backtracking saying he hadn’t really slept with Prince and that in reality, he just had his poster on his wall.”
Surely, should the producers decide to keep this footage as a part of the show, the ratings would be astronomical. I mean, as far as we know, Prince is not gay. It was pretty audacious of Boy George to purport that, if it’s false.
However, being that the both of them were huge sex symbols and their sexuality, for the most part, remained pretty ambiguous, who knows! Shoot, it was the 80’s. Any way the wind blew didn’t really mater back then.
