Breakdancing Will Be A Sport At The 2024 Paris Olympics

Roommates ,this development is giving me all of the ‘You Got Served’ vibes. It seems the 2024 Olympics is going to be a lil’ seasoned, because the Olympic committee  is now including breaking as a sport during the 2024 Olympics, according to CBS.

Chairman of the USA Breaking Committee, says the addition of breaking is the perfect addition to the Olympics. He went on to say: “It has everything an Olympic sport needs,” he said, adding that’s it’s colorful, fun to watch and that, “They’re doing amazing stuff and it’s not things that a regular person can do.”

British breakdancer, Karam Singh spoke to BBC, and said: “It’s going to be great for breaking as it gives us more recognition as a sport,” Singh said:  “And for the Olympics, it will attract young people who may not follow some of the traditional sports.” In terms of how they plan to make it competitive, it seems a rulebook has been developed , a way of scoring and a system for these athletes to be brought into the system like every other Olympic athlete.

I’m not going to lie Roommates, this definitely feels like a sport that I’d watch. Seeing what every country’s breakdance team has to offer? I’m trying to see that! The only thing I got to know is, who is representing the United States? Cause if I don’t see the Jabbawockeez do their thing, reppin’ for the United States, I’m going to need some answers, period!
