Roomies, after over 30 days, a verdict has officially been reached in the federal criminal trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs. The 55-year-old has been found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution charges.
Wednesday, July 2, began the third day of jury deliberations in the Diddy trial. Diddy reportedly entered the courtroom, hugging four of his attorneys. This reportedly consisted of Jason Driscoll, Nicole Westmoreland, Alexandra Shapiro, and Marc Agnifilo. Furthermore, Diddy’s mother, Janice, and his sister were initially seated in the courtroom.
His adult children, Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, Jessie, and D’Lila reportedly entered the location a little later. CNN notes that two of his sons brought female companions alongside them.
“Stay strong,” he reportedly told his family before bowing his head to pray with them 30 minutes before news of the jury reaching a verdict came in. “God, please watch over my family.”
His family reportedly chimed in with, “Amen.”
“We have reached a verdict on all counts,” the jury noted at 9:52 a.m. EST.
Minutes after 10 a.m. EST, the 55-year-old was brought back into the courtroom. Furthermore, he reportedly flashed a smile to his family and nodded his head. The jury was subsequently brought into the courtroom.
Juror no. 5 told the court that their verdict was unanimous.
Per CNN, Diddy was found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution. However, he was found not guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy “in a mixed verdict.”
After the verdict was read, the judge told the court:
“There is an important reason to respect the privacy of your deliberations. That being said, the choice of whether to speak to others about the case and your personal views is up to you.”
He then added:
“I want you to know that it is inspiring to all of us. You listened, you worked together, you were here every day, rain or shine. You did so with no reward, other than the reward that comes from answering the call of public service. That should give all of us hope.”

At that point, the defense argued that Diddy should be released on a $1 million bond immediately. Meanwhile, the prosecution opposed the motion, arguing his extensive abusive behavior and drug use. Furthermore, the prosecution noted that Diddy still faces a sentence of up to 20 years in prison for his conviction on the prostitution charges. Ultimately, the judge asserted that he will decide on Diddy’s release today by considering letters received from both the prostitution and defense by 1 p.m. EST today.
