‘Bridgerton’ Is On The Way Back With More Drama In New Trailer For Season Two

Roommates, ‘Lady Whistledown’ and her crew are back for more messiness and drama in the second season of the Netflix hit ‘Bridgerton!!’ In a little over a month, one of Netflix’s biggest hits will return and fans now have their first look, as the season two trailer for fan-favorite drama ‘Bridgerton’ has just dropped.

A little over a year ago, Netflix and Shonda Rhimes released ‘Bridgerton’ and in less than hours the series became an instant hit with both fans and critics. Luckily, after waiting patiently, fans can now breathe a sigh of relief because season two is just around the corner. The official trailer for the show’s second season was just released, and while the brief sneak peek doesn’t give much away, there is definitely enough going on to keep you guessing for what’s next.

In the new trailer, there are hints of the romance between ‘Anthony Bridgerton’ (Jonathan Bailey) and new character ‘Kate Sharma’ (Simone Ashley,) a plotline that promises to take center stage in season two. However, popular character ‘Lady Whistledown’ will still continue to be the anonymous town gossiper chronicling all of the drama that’s going down. The second season of ‘Bridgerton’ is set to premiere on March 25th.

As we previously reported, fans of the show were utterly heartbroken when it was confirmed that season one breakout star Regé-Jean Page, who played ‘Simon Basset,’ the Duke of Hastings, would not be returning to the show for additional seasons. Following the intense and immediate backlash surrounding the news of his departure, Shonda Rhimes stated in an interview that she asked Page if he would be open to returning as a guest in season two…and he politely declined, saying “Rightfully, I signed up to do this one lovely story, this closed-ended storyline. I’m good!”

Meanwhile, you should get ready for even more ‘Bridgerton,’ as Rhimes says the show could potentially last at least eight seasons, which translates to the number of siblings on the show.
