Brittney Griner hit up Instagram on Friday, Dec. 6, to drop some exciting news about her wife, Cherelle Griner. The Phoenix Mercury star proudly shared that Cherelle is now a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
The NBA player hopped on Instagram to hype up her wife, Cherelle, as she kicks off her new journey with the AKA’s. In the pic, Cherelle looks stunning in the sorority’s signature pink-and-green jacket with a white pleaded dress and pumps. Brittney also coordinated with her wife, wearing a white crewneck, black pants, and fresh kicks. The shot also shows them surrounded by green-and-pink gift bags, keeping the AKA energy strong.
“Baby when i say Bash and myself are so proud of you. I cant wait to support you during this life long journey as your Honeydew ! Congratulations my love @cherelletgriner” Brittney captioned the photo.
Cherelle Griner also celebrated joining the sorority by dropping a series of stunning photos, paying homage to AKA’s lasting legacy.

Brittney Griner and Cherelle recently trended after they shared the first pics of their precious baby boy, Bash. The couple welcomed their first child together back in July, adding to Brittney’s family since she already has twins from her past relationship with Glory Johnson.
In an interview with CBS Sports that same month, Brittney shared how excited she felt about bonding with Bash before heading to Paris for the Summer Olympics. She couldn’t stop gushing over how much joy her little man brings to her life.
Thats my man. He is amazing. They said as soon as you see them, everything that you thought mattered just goes out the window. Thats literally what happened,” Brittney explained.
