Violence Rising Across Kid Birthday Parties
Unfortunately, incidents like this are becoming all too familiar. Just weeks before a Sweet 16 shooting in Brooklyn left six teens wounded, Stockton was shaken by another heartbreaking scene at a family birthday celebration. As previously reported, a banquet hall near Lucile Avenue became the site of a deadly attack, leaving 14 people injured and four confirmed dead. Early reports suggest it may have been a targeted attack, though authorities are keeping all angles open. Stockton’s Vice Mayor Jason Lee shared heartfelt messages on social media, offering prayers to the families and children affected while urging anyone with information or footage to come forward. The city, much like Brooklyn, is grappling with the trauma and searching for answers.
