Cam Newton is still outchea ruffling feathers with his take on marriage. Newton recently chopped it up with Dr. Sarah Fontenot on his ‘Funky Friday’ podcast, where he discussed his marriage plans and future with Jasmin Brown, his girlfriend and the mother of his youngest child.

Cam Newton Discusses Marriage & Next Steps With Jasmin Brown
During his chat with Dr. Sarah Fontenot, she straight-up asked Cam if he planned to marry Jasmin Brown. Cam kept it real, saying that “marriage isn’t the ultimate goal for him, but he does want to get married.” Cam also shared that he believes people get “trauma bonded” to the idea of marriage and having children.
“That’s the way that the propaganda of life that everybody has been putting in our faces to say, ‘ok get married, have kids, whatever.’ Not overlooking or not identifying that, that’s still a way for the devil to look or dwell in,” Cam stated.
Cam Speaks On His Past Affairs While Dating Jasmin
Cam Newton also discussed his relationship with Jasmin with Dr. Sarah Fontenot. He made it clear that what they share is not an arrangement and is not about cheating. He sees it as them “growing together.”
“When you’re living in your truth, a lot of people want the benefits without also accepting the bulls**t. But when you cite the source of who that comment is coming from, you’re not mine either,” Cam said.
Additionally, the former NFL player noted that he thinks being able to be 100% yourself with your partner is a “flex.” Furthermore, Newton added that he’s challenging all men to have uncomfortable conversations with their partners.
“She does an unbelievable job by not judging the branch of the tree but getting to the root of the tree because everything stems from something,” Cam added.

Cam’s latest comments came after he confessed in November to hooking up with other women while dating Jasmin. During the interview with Corey Holcomb, he didn’t go into detail about his infidelity. Cam’s confession went viral, prompting Jas to speak out via her Instagram Stories. The actress and comedian made it clear she knows everything about her man, and she’s sticking beside him!
“Childddddd here come the ‘just checking on you’ DMs. I am fine. TRUST ME, I know WHO and WHAT my n***a is. Ain’t no secrets or surprises. He can talk to me about anything,” Jasmin wrote.
While many criticized Jas for staying with Cam, she shared that she has accepted that cheating for intimacy is just something men will continue to do.
“…Men just be wanting to f**k , once they do that, they’re back to temporarily thinking straight. It’s real ghetto out here! I get it! I don’t blame y’all for wanting to be single!
