Halloween’s golden rule has always ‘been never take candy from strangers’ but parents might want to add pharmacies to that list also!
It looks like someone was off their meds yesterday when they accidentally gave out seven bipolar tablets instead of candy to trick-or-treaters in Canada!
So apparently when a woman mistakenly dropped her son’s Quetiapine and Divalproex sodium prescription pills, which are both designed to treat schizophrenia as well as other psychological issues, another customer picked them up and placed it near a candy basket…smart right?
Anyways some how some way the candy ended up in the basket and was given out to kids. For all those who are wondering the pill’s side effects do include suicidal thoughts, tremors and nausea, drowiness, and oh yeah sudden cardiac death but of course authorities told parents the pills are harmless…..why you always….
Constable Melissa Cliche, a spokeswoman for Quebec City police stated, “So – unfortunately – we don’t know how – an employee just mixed it with the candy by accident and distributed it to the kids.”
Any ways… Someone needs to get fired asap last below!
