Former baseball player Carl Crawford is behind bars in Texas for alleged domestic violence, according to TMZ Sports.
The details surrounding the incident arent clear but jail records show Carl Crawford is facing a charge of assault on a family or household member and impede breath/circulat which usually means theres been an allegation of choking involved.
Authorities say Carl surrendered to the Harris County Sheriffs Office earlier today.
Carl is currently in custody, being held on a $10,000 bond.
It wasnt immediately clear if this most recent incident has anything to do with the tragic drownings that took place at his Houston home. We previously reported that a woman and a child died at Carls home after they reportedly fell in a pool and drowned.
While details about that incident also remain unclear, Carl released a statement following the accident, expressing his sympathy.
“My (Hearts) Heavy. The tragic events that occurred at my home will be with me forever. I’m at a loss for words I’ve struggled all week to manage my emotions and I keep thinking of the families of those who’ve passed and their grief, I know they have it the hardest.”
He continued, “They are the first and last thing I think of these days. Please keep them in your prayers, I know they will always be in mine.”
In regard to Thursdays incident, the identity of the alleged victim has yet to be released.
