Chad ‘Ocho Cinco’ Johnson Says He Can’t Afford to Pay His Bills in Foreclosure Suit

Back in June, Coconut Cay Homeowners Association slapped Chad Johnson with a lien after failing to pay the monthly and quarterly fees on his Miami home since September 2015. They cited that he owed $2,242.63 in penalties, 18% interest (per year) and attorney fees. Well it looks he never paid up because according to Bossip, they sued him last month!

In the suit, the association demanded that Johnson resolve the payments, and quick, or else they want his home taken from him. As of this month, he actually owes $2,643.20.

On September 9th, Johnson responded by explaining that he is financially strapped at the moment, but plans to catch up next month. He wrote, “I apologize for the delinquency in paying the monthly HOA fees on the property. I am currently dealing with financial hardships that made it very difficult to pay in the past few months.” He added, “I expect that I should be able to (pay) the current amount of $2,242.36 no later than October 1st,” which is only 10 days away! The HOA nor the judge have responded yet, perhaps, because they just want their check already!

Bossip also reports that Johnson is in the middle of selling his $2 million home in Davie, FL. That home was apparently almost foreclosed on as well, however, Johnson settled his debt literally days before the auction was to commence. Maybe this was also foreshadowing his current situation….
