While OchoCinco and his fiancée Sherelle Rosado are still enjoying newborn bliss, Chad stopped by the ‘gram with a message about his baby girl’s drip! Now y’all know Chad OchoCinco is one for being fly and frugal and it looks like things aren’t going to change when it comes to his new addition to the family.
Chad posted a video with his baby girl beside him sporting an adorable monochromatic red ensemble, and a matching bow. All eyes were on baby Serenity, but the real tea was her daddy sharing his thoughts about babies and young children wearing designer clothes!
“She in this thing flamed up, y’all,” he said as baby Serenity looked into he camera. “What you wearing? You know we don’t do the designer sh*t for the kids. I know it’s cute, it’s a cultural thing, a status of freedom you might say like, ‘I got money.’ No! We do OshKosk Bgosh, we do Target.”
While OchoCinco didn’t go into much detail about him and Sharelle’s fashion choices for baby Serenity, he didn’t have to! Fans quickly came to his defense, breaking down the reason for holding off on buying designer brands for the little ones.
“Target, OshKosh, Carter’s, Children’s place and others,” one user wrote. “No need for designer and expensive things because they are growing straight out of those things fast.”
“He is so right,” another fan commented. “How does it benefit you to buy a $400 piece of clothing for your kid, for them to go to a party or go eat and get it all messed up? It just doesn’t make sense to me.”
OchoCinco has never been shy about his efforts to stay rich, though. He recently gave YK Osiris some shopping advice after YK revealed he paid $325k for a pair of diamond stud earrings. Chad let YK know he got the same pair for $10 at Claire’s!
