Chance The Rapper came into the game, winning and has yet to slow down on his accomplishments! Can Y’all believe he is slated to deliver this year’s commencement speech at Dillard University in May?!
The university’s president, Dr. Walter M. Kimbrough speaks very highly of Chance, including that “He’s the artist that your grandmother would love.”
Kimbrough additionally instructs a course on ethics and hip-hop and believes Chance is the perfect candidate for the speech because of his entrepreneurship and authenticity. Apparently, he’s been checking for Chance to make an appearance on the campus for two years now.
He will be addressing more than 200 students come May 12th on the campus’ historic Avenue of the Oaks.
What a wonderful opportunity for both Chance and the University! Keep amazing us, Chance!
