Roommates, we all know the job market is scarce, regardless of what your resume looks like or what qualifications you have. But, this father of two is not letting his unforeseen circumstance hold him back from his next big opportunity!
According to FOX 46 Charlotte, 28-year-old, Michael Bridges says he’s been laid off after his company decided to downsize. After multiple attempts to apply for jobs traditionally, Michael is taking a brand new approach on a local intersection.

Michael says desperate times call for desperate measures, as he hands his resume to those passing by in their vehicles.
“I’m not asking for a handout,” he says. “I’m not asking for money. I’m asking for an opportunity.”
Michael is a father of two, and is currently responsible for paying for the home his family lives in. Despite being overqualified for many positions, Michael says he is not opposed to working in any position to support his family.
“There was a garbage man that drove by, I’m not too good to take that job, I just need to get on the payroll,” he says. “I just need a job, I’m dedicated, come to work on time, clean background. I just need a job, I’m not too picky.”
Michael’s resume has a range of experience from working as a human resource manager, employees relations specialist, and a campus recruiter! Despite all of this, Michael says he has applied to more than 60 openings, and has still heard nothing.
“I hope someone sees my determination, if I’m willing to stand out there for a job just imaging what I’m willing to do in a corporate setting,” he says. “I did what America wanted me to do. I went to school got a Bachelors and Masters and never thought I’d be out here struggling to find a job.”
