Black Ink Crew’s Charmaine is speaking out after posting a TikTok video featuring baby girl on Instagram. If you didn’t see the video, Charmaine was participating in a challenge where she splashed water on her daughter’s face, and after facing some backlash, Charmaine is explaining exactly what went down.
In an Instagram post, Charmaine apologizes about how the video was perceived by her fans, but assures everyone that she was in no way trying to hurt her daughter.
“Water hit the side of her face and chest but people made a really big deal saying she was gasping for air. She absolutely was not!,” she says. “I would never put her in any danger like that. She had a reaction to water splashing her similar to the kids in the other tiktok challenges.”
She continues saying:
“So I thought it was okay to post but after re-evaluating it probably was just a bad idea overall because I wold never want her to be put in harms way. I apologize to anyone I have offended, but one thing for sure and two things for certain…I’m a great mom.”
Charmaine gave birth to her baby girl Nola back in March, and she shared her journey to motherhood with her followers.
