Inside The Disturbing Case That Led To Cherie Walker’s Conviction
On Friday, October 30, a Muskogee County judge handed Cherie Walker seven consecutive life sentences. Authorities initially charged her with one count of child sexual abuse and six counts of child neglect in August 2025 after discovering that her daughter had given birth inside the family’s home without medical assistance on August 16. At the time, Muskogee County Assistant District Attorney Janet Hutson told KOTV that Cherie and Dustin claimed they had no idea the young girl was pregnant. However, DNA testing later confirmed that Dustin fathered the newborn. As the case unfolded, prosecutors argued that Cherie knew Dustin had sexually abused her daughter but failed to intervene. On July 17, 2026, a jury found Cherie guilty on all seven felony counts.
