Early February 4, a Maryland man shared his grief about the passing of his nephew. Social media detectives somehow got ahold of the death announcement and identified the nephew as Chrisean Rock‘s ex, Ronny Doe. He is the same ex-boyfriend who confronted Rock in December over the paternity of her son, Chrisean Jesus. After the uncle’s post, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, police confirmed the death in a press release. Ronny, real name Karon Makhai Cann, was 24 years old.
Meanwhile, Rock has yet to comment, but a new post on Chrisean Jesus’ social media account is stirring mixed reactions. Blueface’s mother, Karlissa Saffold, also shook the table with her thoughts on Cann’s passing in relation to Blueface!

Maryland Police Confirm Ronny’s Death
The uncle’s death post sparked talks of a shooting by alleging that Ronny’s “life was taken.” Since then, Maryland police have confirmed that Doe died from multiple gunshot wounds on February 3. Officers responded to the scene at about 7:10 p.m. local time and found Doe lying on the ground in front of a home in Severn, Maryland — about 25 minutes outside of Baltimore.
Officers administered medical attention to Doe on the scene, and then firefighters transported him to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center. There, doctors pronounced the 24-year-old dead.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing, but it has been labeled a homicide. Investigators have already collected crime scene evidence and spoken to witnesses. They now believe, per the preliminary investigation, that the attack was targeted and NOT a random act of violence.
Here’s What Ronny’s Uncle Said
Ronny’s alleged uncle, Dawvun Dee Hill, shared the tragic update via Facebook. He tagged an account named Ronny Gotem. Hill didn’t reveal any intimate details about the passing. Instead, he shared that Chrisean Rock’s ex was like a son to him.
“This feels like a nightmare. I been up crying all night.😭😭. I’m not suppose to bury you nephew, you suppose to bury me. Karon before Elijah was born you were the closest I had to a son. I haven’t felt like this since I lost my father. I watch you grow up and been there every step of the way. It hurts so bad that your life was taken but I know your at peace now. I praying for justice so we all can have closure. I love you and will truly miss you. R.I.P Karon (Nephew.)”

Social Media Floods Ronny Doe’s Comment Section While THIS Post Surfaces On Chrisean Jesus’ Page
Rock has yet to directly address the reports surrounding her ex. As mentioned, the two didn’t seem to have the most solid relationship leading up to his alleged passing. In December, Chrisean Rock got the police involved when her ex pulled up on her at the mall. Before cops arrived, Doe had been videotaping Rock and requesting a DNA test for Chrisean Jesus, whom he insisted was his son and not Blueface’s.
Not long after the incident, Chrisean Rock’s sister, Chastity, addressed her ex. She shut down his claims about being in the room for Jesus’ birth. Chastity also repeatedly called him a liar, saying that folks should doubt what he says. “Nothing he say is accurate so you can’t take no accuracy anything he say. You can’t even take him serious. That boy is ridiculous,” Chastity said in a video at the time.

The status of Doe’s requested paternity test regarding Chrisean Jesus is unknown. However, on Tuesday, a photo of the results of a DNA test from 2023 surfaced on Chrisean Jesus’ Instagram feed. This is not the first time the internet has seen THESE paternity results. Rock first released them that same year to prove that Blueface—real name Jonathan Porter—was Jesus’ daddy.
After Ronny’s uncle spoke out, fans flooded the comment section of the last post that Ronny Doe shared on IG. No other content has been shared on the page since the Hill’s death announcement.

Blueface’s Mom, Karlissa Saffold, Speaks Out
Taking to IG Stories, Karlissa shared her condolences for Ronny’s family, particularly his mother. She shared that she was at a loss for words but proceeded to seemingly deny that her son had any involvement.
“I never thought I’d say this but I’m grateful to God that my son is in jail and nowhere near any of this. Never put blame on anyone until they are proven guilty because the Lord said not to bare false witness! Instead, pray about it and pray about everything regardless to what your mind is telling you. God is able, Lord God please help us all.”
