On Saturday, May 24, Claressa Shields dropped a screenshot of a DM she sent to Nicki Minaj on her Instagram Story. Shields is gearing up for her boxing match against Lani Daniels in Detroit on July 26th, and she wants the Queen in the building, y’all.
In the message, she told Nicki she might as well pop out to her fight, dropping two eye emojis for emphasis. There’s no updates on whether Nicki responded yet, so we’ll have to wait and see if she pulls up. Meanwhile, social media feels like Claressa is being messy, especially since Nicki and Remy Ma have history.

Claressa Drops Subliminal Messages On Social Media
Claressa slid that Nicki Minaj invite right after popping off on social media with a few posts. She recently dropped some subliminals on X (formerly Twitter), and folks think she was throwing shade at Remy. Claressa also appeared on ‘The Breakfast Club’ recently and said she thinks some of her comments on the show might’ve “triggered” Rem. Even though she didn’t name-drop Remy, the internet streets noticed that her series of messages on X came shortly after Remy basically told her “please refrain from speaking.”
In one of the posts, she basically told Rem that Papoose is not her manager, but she did refer to him as a “loyal man.” She also mentioned enjoying when their relationship was private so folks couldn’t judge something they don’t know about.
“We been living our best life since mid-August last year. I really enjoyed our private relationship for reasons like this. All these people judging a situation they know nothing about. Pap was separated way before I came along,” Claressa wrote on X.
