Claressa Shields Shares Who Papoose Spent Xmas With
On Monday (Dec. 29), Claressa was hyping her physical appearance on X, formerly Twitter, when another user slid in the comment section speaking on Papoose. Shields had written about her body being “tea,” and never needing to take Ozempic for any weight issues. While some fans applauded the energy, others had questions related to her bae, Pap. In one tweet, a user asked how she felt about Papoose “spending Christmas with his wife and daughter?” Claressa didn’t hold back, writing:
“Pap spent Christmas with his mother and family. Not his EX wife! You are misinformed for sure.”
It’s unclear if Papoose’s “family,” included seeing his and Remy’s daughter, Reminisce MacKenzie Mackie. Still, the same X user clapped back, “Oh ok. That’s not his ex-wife though. You are misinformed for sure.” However, this time, Claressa kept her tweets pushing, opting not to respond. No further details on who started rumors of a holiday rekindling between Reminisce’s parents.
Are Papoose & Remy Ma Cordial IRL?
In May 2025, Remy Ma and Papoose had a nasty online spat — months after the estranged wife blasted Pap and Claressa Shields’ relationship. The former ‘Black Love’ King and Queen accused each other of cheating. In one written rant, he revealed that he filed the divorce petition on May 22, 2025. “Why are you even posting fake texts if you’re allegedly happy. Just move on!!! Stop saying “SIGN THE PAPERS.” I have already filed for divorce…,” Pap said at the time.
This month, he doubled down on claims he wasn’t the cheater in the marriage to Remy Ma. That happened when he popped into ‘The Breakfast Club’ studio to chat about his music and record label. At one point, the hosts invited Claressa Shields to the mic as they asked questions about how Remy and Papoose fell apart. He repeatedly wished his estranged wife well and tried to refrain from accusations. Meanwhile, Claressa emphasized that his marriage is his PAST, and they’re focused on his present and future—especially with her.
“That takes time. It’s a divorce. It’s not something that just happens overnight, but people life don’t stop because of that. It’s papers, it’s time, it’s stuff that gotta happen, but at the end of the day, we move forward with our lives,” Claressa Shields said.
