Kim K Secures The Degree!
The star of Hulu’s ‘The Kardashians’ has officially completed her law program, earning her long-chased degree. Kim celebrated the achievement with a graduation ceremony in an undisclosed backyard, where she was the only student in her class. Videos shared on her Instagram story captured the moment and included heartfelt messages from Kim’s mentors, who praised her commitment to justice and advocacy work. They highlighted her efforts in fighting for clemency, raising awareness about incarceration, and meeting with individuals often overlooked by society. Van Jones even made an appearance, recognizing her impact on criminal justice reform. Also in attendance was Khloe Kardashian and Kim’s children, amongst others.
Kim began her legal studies six years ago through the Law Office Study Program (LOSP), which gives aspiring lawyers an alternative education instead of attending traditional law school. One speaker at the ceremony noted that Kim dedicated around 18 hours a week to her studies — totaling over 5,000 hours. She passed the baby bar in 2021 and extended her program due to the COVID-19 pandemic and her demanding schedule. While this marks the end of her study program, she’ll still need to pass the California Bar Exam to officially become a licensed attorney.

Her Impact On Criminal Justice Reform
Kim K has advocated for criminal justice reform, focusing on cases that many believe were unjustly handled. One of her most notable efforts was calling for the release of the Menendez brothers, who were convicted of murdering their parents in 1989. Kim raised awareness about their case, highlighting issues of abuse they suffered in their childhood, which she believed were not fully considered during their trial. While the case is still ongoing, Kim’s involvement shed new light on flaws in the justice system.
In addition, Kim gained national recognition for her role in helping secure the release of Alice Marie Johnson, a woman who had been serving a life sentence for a nonviolent drug offense. And, Kim personally met with President Donald Trump to advocate for Johnson’s clemency. Her efforts were successful when Johnson was granted a pardon in 2020.
Kim’s work didn’t stop there. In 2019, she connected with Momolu Stewart, an inmate at the District of Columbia Correctional Treatment Facility, for a documentary. After meeting him, she advocated for his release, leading to Stewart’s sentence being commuted to 5 years of supervised probation.
