Many congratulations are in order for actors Keshia Knight Pulliam and her husband Brad James. The couple took to Instagram on Thursday and revealed that they are expecting their first child together.

The soon-to-be mother-of-two added a snippet of Salt-N-Pepa’s single “Push It” to the post as well.
Fans Were Excited, Though Not Surprised
Prior to announcing the pregnancy, Pulliam shared a clip of her and her husband making their way to the Tamron Hall Show for a special appearance.

In the clip, the couple shared that they were excited to be guests on the show. And also revealed that they would be “dropping a special surprise on the world.”
A slew of comments came flooding in with followers and fans already proclaiming to know what the “special surprise” would be.
We are ready for the surprise even though we know what it is.

Pulliam Revealed Why She Kept Her Pregnancy A Secret
During the sit-down with Tamron Hall, Pulliam revealed why she’s been quiet about her pregnancy.
Not that I’ve been trying to hide it but when you’ve had a miscarriage — when you’ve gone through his journey — you want to just enjoy this moment and want to make sure that everything is okay. So, we haven’t been hiding it. I’ve been walking, and doing and living life. But in terms of making an announcement, we just haven’t done that.
Now that the news has been revealed, Pulliam is feeling good.
It feels good because I know so many people have gone on this journey with us.
She adds that her daughter Ella, whom she shares with her ex Ed Hartwell, is going to be the “most amazing big sister ever.”
She’s so excited to be a big sister, and she talks to the baby regularly. I was on my belly, and she’s gone on this journey too, so was like, ‘Mommy, is the baby going to stay with us this time? Is it going to stay?’ And she’s so happy that it is and that everything is going well. She’s going to be the most amazing big sister ever.
Pulliam Has Openly Shared Her Fertility Journey With The World
According to E! News, Pulliam shared her fertility journey on a docu-series titled Eggs Over Easy: Black Women & Fertility, on the OWN network. In the show, Pulliam discussed her 2020 decision to freeze her eggs.
I never thought I would be one of the stories shared within the documentary. I was 41 at the time and knew that I wanted another kid, but I knew that it wasn’t right now.
Unfortunately, her plans were halted by the impact of COVID-19.
I began the process of freezing my eggs and then literally the day that I was supposed to start my meds is when, as a result of the pandemic, they shut down all elective medical procedures. So, I was unable to continue. It’s crazy that preserving your right and your ability to have a baby is considered elective. It shouldn’t. It should be an option that’s given to all women.
We’re happy to see the couple thriving and wish them all the best as they await the arrival of their little one!
