Cori Broadus has shared a glimpse of her baby girl, Codi Dreaux, while revealing that the infant has been in the NICU for the past six months.
Earlier this week, Cori Broadus took to Instagram to share a clip with her more than 716,000 followers. Furthermore, the footage seemingly showed Broadus seated in a hospital rocker while holding her infant. Broadus explained that September is National NICU Awareness Month, and she wanted to express gratitude to all of the parents, nurses, and doctors supporting NICU babies on their journey.
“I know this is a hell of a ride, but there’s nothing that God gives us that we can’t handle… just hold on. We got this,” she said.
Furthermore, Broadus explained that her baby girl has been in the NICU for “over 6 months now.”
“The way I’ve been here going through it it’s such an emotional roller coaster. But like I said, it’s nothing that God gives us that we can’t handle,” she reiterated. “And when we come in here, we try to make sure that our love is bigger than the wires and the tubes and the machines and just staying strong for our Codi Dreaux.”

As The Shade Room previously reported, in December 2024, Cori Broadus revealed that she was expecting her first child with her fianc, Wayne Deuce. At the time, Broadus shared that her pregnancy was “unplanned.” However, she and Deuce were over the moon.
Then, the following month, in January 2025, Broadus experienced a severe stroke, per The Shade Room.
Furthermore, the following month, Broadus revealed that she lost over 40 pounds, noting that she decided to “get serious” about her health journey, per The Shade Room.
Then, in March, Broadus revealed that she and Deuce welcomed their baby girl, per The Shade Room. At the time, she revealed that their baby girl arrived early, after only 25 weeks of her pregnancy.
Since then, both parents have shared their own posts, gushing over their baby girl. In May, Broadus took to Instagram to share an animated post, writing, “Codi Dreaux mommy and daddy loves you!!! #nicu #nicumama #nicudad”
Meanwhile, in July, Deuce took o Instagram, revealing that Codi Dreaux transitioned from an “incubator” to a “big girl bed.”
