Snoop Dogg is preparing to become an eight-time grandad, thanks to his only daughter, Cori Broadus! In an interview with E! News, Cori confirmed she’s expecting her first child with her fianc Wayne Deuce. Broadus shared details about her pregnancy, including the baby’s gender, how far along she is, and how her parents reacted.
Cori Broadus began 2024 with recovery from a stroke that landed her in the hospital. Now, the 25-year-old will be celebrating the holidays and closing out the year with their special gift! Cori told E! that she and Wayne Deuce did not plan the pregnancy. When she found out in October, there was a shock, but the growing family is also feeling gratitude.
“I found out Oct. 28. This baby is so unplanned, but we are soooo blessed,” she told the outlet.
Despite her stroke and ongoing Lupus battle — which doctors diagnosed at age six — Cori Broadus said she’s “feeling great.” Still, the pregnancy is considered high-risk, and doctors were concerned for her and the baby, Broadus shared. If all goes well, Cori and Wayne will welcome their daughter in April or May 2025. The mother is currently four months pregnant, per E! News.
“…God has his hands on me, and me and the baby are doing perfectly fine,” she said.
Cori said she’s looking forward to raising her baby girl with love and confidence. Her goal is to make her daughter feel like “she’s the prettiest in the world.”
“Growing up, I wasn’t the most confident and never felt like I fit in, so just to instill all the beautiful things in her head at a young age,” the mother-to-be shared.
Meanwhile, she says Daddy Deuce is excited to have a mini-version of his fiance. “He knows she is going to be so beautiful and he just can’t wait to build things for her and give her all the love in the world,” Cori Broadus said.
And Cori says Snoop Dogg and her mother, Shante Broadus, are ready to put their grandparent’s experience to work!
“My mom and dad were so excited; their baby girl is having a baby,” Cori said. But, she said Snoop Dog was “…hoping for a grandson, though.”
Wayne Deuce proposed to Cori in 2022. However, the following year, they postponed their wedding. Earlier this month, Broadus told E! that wedding planning was “the most miserable time.” The celebration details were causing fights between the couple. The couple’s three-part special on E! documented their journey.
Also, earlier this month, Snoop Dogg shared that he already has their wedding gift. And let’s say that Daddy Dogg showed OUT for his one and only daughter!
