Congratulations are in order for Da Brat and Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart, as the couple has officially welcomed their first child together!
The Couple Named Their Baby Boy “True Legend Harris-Dupart”
PEOPLE reported the exciting news on Friday (Jul. 7), and the “Funkdafied” rapper welcomed her son in Atlanta a day earlier.
The baby boy was a healthy 7 lbs, 8 oz, and the new mother beamed, “He’s PERFECT in every way.”
“I can’t BELIEVE he came out of me! Feels like a dream. He’s PERFECT in every way.”
She noted feeling “very appreciative for such a blessing” before declaring, “This journey has been more amazing than we could’ve ever imagined.”
As far as the child’s name, Da Brat joked that while they had settled on the name “True Legend Harris-Dupart,” she and Judy “are tempted to name him PERFECT.”
Nonetheless, they’re sticking to the name “True.”
Looking Back On Da Brat’s Pregnancy Journey
This happy development is the latest milestone in the rapper’s motherhood journey.
The matter came to public attention in February when Da Brat revealed she was pregnant.

Shortly thereafter, Da Brat and Jesseca shared that they were having a baby boy and later held a Minions-themed baby shower.
Although there was a lil’ bump in the road with some controversy over a “Jiminy Cricket” joke about a Black sperm donor, there was also plenty of positivity surrounding the couple.
Some of this positivity was evidenced when the rapper shared a video of her bonding with her sister, Lisa Raye, as she hit the 35-week mark of pregnancy.

Finally, just a few days before Da Brat delivered their son, Jesseca surprised the rapper with a brand-new whip as a “pre-push present.” IKTR!
