#Roommates, Dame Dash’s legal issues continue to mount—and this time they involve his ex-wife, Rachel Roy. As you know, Rachel is a very successful fashion designer, but Dame is now suing her for fraudulent practices because he claims he didn’t receive his share of the company’s profits.
@TMZ_TV reports, Dame Dash is hurling some serious allegations at his ex-wife, Rachel Roy, namely claiming that she has been hiding profits from her fashion line (which sells in Bloomingdales and other retailers)—and he says that the money belongs to him. As a result, he is suing her for fraud because he believes Rachel bailed on the deal that was made to cut him in financially.
Reportedly, based on court documents, Dame further alleges that Rachel conspired with several other companies involved in keeping Rachel Roy Brands afloat to hide the money that was owed to him. He also stated that Rachel and the other companies “manipulated, diverted, misappropriated, transferred, concealed and embezzled funds.”
There’s even more allegations coming from Dame, as he also says that Rachel submitted fraudulent accounting, withheld payments, and undervalued his share of Rachel Roy Brands. Since Dame was an original member of Rachel’s company back in 2008 when they were still married, he says that he is entitled to the brand’s royalties.
Back in 2014 Dame claims he was promised a royalty payment of $175,000 that he never received—he said the same thing happened the following year with a $200,000 withheld payment. He says he and Rachel had a verbal agreement stating she would re-purchase his interest in Rachel Roy Brands for $1 million, but it never happened.
As of right now, he doesn’t have a specific amount that he’s suing for because he says he needs to open his books and calculate everything.
