Whew chile, #DamonWayansJr is letting the mother of his children, former #BasketballWives star #AjaMetoyer, know that he’s coming for full custody of their daughters!
It’s being reported that not only does he feel she’s not taking their daughters’ education seriously, he’s also questioning how she’s spending child support money from him and her other baby daddy, #DwayneWade, according to the @Blast.
In case y’all forgot which “basketball wife” Aja was, she appeared on the show’s sixth season, which premiered in April 2017, alongside her sisters Melissa and Cristen, who were giving family drama for the storyline. She revealed then that she and Damon were once childhood sweethearts and have two daughters together, now ages 13 and 15.
She also talked about her 4-year-old son Xavier with Dwayne but never said his name on the show and their son together was the baby that Dwayne allegedly had while on break with Gabrielle Union.
Up until now, the agreement Damon and Aja have in place gives her primary physical custody of their teen daughters and both parents joint legal custody. According to a declaration made by Damon, he now wants primary custody of the girls during the week, claiming that they are “suffering scholastically” because of their mother’s “inability to prioritize education.” He also claims the children are “habitually absent” or tardy to class, in addition to a slew of other issues he says are negatively affecting the girls’ education and home life.
He says it’s Aja’s responsibility to get the girls to school on time and make sure they complete their homework. Damon claims Aja constantly “puts her own needs before those” of their daughters and alleges she took one of the girls on a cruise vacation when she was supposed to be in summer school.
He also claims that Aja retaliates against him when the they have personal disputes by denying him access to their daughters. Damon questions how Aja spends her child support money from him and Dwayne and claims that his daughters are routinely left alone to watch after their little brother.
The court order has Aja and Damon meeting for a child custody mediation on the morning of Oct. 31st at his request.
