Daniel Kaluuya Reveals That He Wasn’t Invited To The Sundance Film Festival Premiere Of ‘Get Out’

There is no doubt that the 2017 box office hit “Get Out” was the film that helped to catapult Daniel Kaluuya’s career to a higher level, as people got the chance to become aware of his talents worldwide. However, recently the English actor revealed that he actually wasn’t invited to the Sundance Film Festival premiere of the film.

Earlier this month he appeared on the “The Graham Norton Show,” and revealed an interesting detail about the film’s premiere at Sundance.

Daniel has been promoting his latest film, “Judas and the Black Messiah,” where he portrays Black Panther Party activist Fred Hampton, and stars alongside Lakeith Stanfield, who also starred in “Get Out.”

While speaking about working with Lakeith on yet another film, he was asked was if it was true that he wasn’t invited to the premiere and Daniel responded and said, “No, they didn’t invite me, bro. They didn’t invite me.”

He continued to say, “On the Sundance world premiere I was in Atlanta because I was shooting Panther [Black Panther]. And I cleared my schedule and I was like, ‘Yo, I really wanna do it.’ And then just didn’t get an invite. I wasn’t invited.”

Daniel continued to mention that he was in his bed when someone updated him about how well the film was doing at Sundance at that time. He proceeded to say that he never asked why he didn’t receive an invite to the premiere.

Nonetheless, he has been seen at other screenings for the box office hit and has won multiple awards for his role in the film.
