Roommates, Lipton opened up it’s floodgates for The Breakfast Club yesterday and former Danity Kane members, Aubrey O’day and Shannon Bex, were handing out dixie cups, okay?
If you remember, DK got back together last year and gave us some cute songs like Lemonade and Rhythm of Love to bop to, but all of a sudden, some drama erupted, causing the girls to break up…for good!
They stopped by the The Breakfast Club to tell us everything we’ve wanted to know about both of their break-ups over the years. The even alleged that Dawn was the one supplying the blogs with all of those nasty rumors we’ve heard about Aubrey and D. Woods in the past! Yes, chile!
Aubrey told the Breakfast Club about how one of her fans matched Dawn’s IP address to some posts!
Now, Shadey Charlemagne was hung up on finding out whether rumors of Aubrey and Diddy hooking up were true, but DJ Envy and Angela Yee hunted down the facts surrounding the group’s most recent fall out:
DJ Envy: “What happened with Danity Kane? Weren’t y’all back together or something?
Aubrey: “We were. We took a stab at it and it didn’t work out”
Charlemagne: “You and Dawn got in a fight, she said she hit you”
Both Shannon and Aubrey agreed, and Aubrey nodded saying, “She sucker-punched me in the back of my head!” When she was asked what she did back, she gave a nervous laugh and jokingly said, “I ran out like the white girl that I am and I immediately got on my cell phone and called the police.”
Shannon decided to chime in, because she never does interviews, and further explained that, “a lot of misconception about that day went down and I just want to clear the air that there was no fall-out brawl/heightened situation… There was only one person who was acting erratic and cussing and sucker punched one other member and that was it. That’s how it went down.”
These ladies have been in business for the past twelve years and have managed to stay relevant. Aubrey and Shannon who have since started their own group ‘Dumblonde’ say that it was just best for them to dismantle. “When we came back together (after Diddy split them up the first time), we hoped that a lot of things from the past had changed, and they hadn’t. We were dealing with a situation where bad habits were now ingrained into everyone. Everybody’s at fault some way or another.”
Dumblonde say that they’ve found their own drama-free “stream” and new music is coming September 25th! They’re even filming a new show!
