Darius Daulton Jackson shared his feelings about his relationship with his girlfriend Keke Palmer on a new episode of ‘Baby, This is Keke Palmer.’ As The Shade Room previously reported, Jackson made headlines by publicly criticizing Palmer’s appearance at a recent Usher concert.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the podcast episode was recorded before his public criticism.

Darius Daulton Jackson Speaks On Going Public With Keke Palmer & His “High Standards” Of Her
During the episode, published on Tuesday, Jackson candidly shared his feelings about his once-private relationship with Palmer. According to Entertainment Tonight, he spoke about how “overwhelming” it was for him when their relationship went public.
“At first, it definitely was hard because it could all be very overwhelming. It was definitely overwhelming and intense at first.”
Palmer agreed.
Additionally, Jackson went on to explain that he felt the “pressure of being perfect” for himself and his girlfriend.
“And it’s like, you almost feel that pressure of needing to be perfect. And so, it really confused me and infiltrated my mind because not only did I have to hold myself to that perfect standard, I was also holding you to a perfect standard as well…”
Jackson continued by explaining that “any moment of flaw” on his “side” or Palmer’s would “lead to World War III.”
“So, any moment of flaw on my side or on your side would lead to World War III because it’s like, man, now the world sees us.”
Keke Palmer Agreed That There Is “A Lot Of Pressure” Now That They’re A Public Couple”
As the conversation continued, Palmer agreed and acknowledged that “a lot of pressure” exists on their relationship.
“It’s a lot of pressure because here’s the thing, we’re public now, and there are things we want to share… but at the same time, we do want to be able to maintain the privacy of our relationship…”
Palmer went on by saying that she feels they’ve “done such a good job at “being able to collaborate” and “be creative” with each other “while also being private.” You can listen to the full podcast here.
Palmer Recently Shared Her Thoughts Surrounding Darius Daulton & His Public Criticism
As The Shade Room previously reported, Darius Daulton Jackson most recently called Palmer out for the attire she wore to an Usher concert in Las Vegas.
At the time, Palmer sported a lace dress that flaunted her curves and prompted Jackson to criticize her by tweeting of video of her at the concert with a brief message.
“It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom.”
Palmer indirectly responded to Jackson’s public criticism of her during a cover feature for The Cut, as reported by The Shade Room. The 29-year-old encouraged other “new moms” to “do you” despite the negative feedback they may receive.
“Do you, new moms. Do you. Girl, if there’s one person on this earth that loves you for sure, it’s that baby. Be happy, because there’s no love like it. Somebody loving you like that, hell, who cares?”
