DC Young Fly Shares First Post Dedicated To Jacky Oh: ‘I Wanted It To Be A Dream So Bad’

DC Young Fly has published his first social media post following the death of his longtime partner Ms. Jacky Oh. The beauty entrepreneur passed away on May 31 at age 32. Details surrounding her cause of death remain scarce. Though DC didn’t provide any clarity on that subject, his dedication post repeatedly highlighted the woman he loved as the “greatest mother.”

He started by telling his 12.5 million-plus followers that he was “in no rush” to post about Jacky’s death. The comedian and actor admitted that he wanted her passing “to be a dream so bad.”

“…But every hour I’m reminded of reality, so I wanna make sure I applaud you in the proper manner. You are the GREATEST MOTHER I KNOW your soul was beautiful Yu always wanted the best for others, and I admired how our family love each other!!! Never had to worry about our kids loving each other cause you were on top of Dat!!!”

His post included photos and a video of him and Jacky alone and alongside their children. Last year, the couple welcomed their third child and first son, Prince. Their romance reportedly began in 2015 and since then, Jacky Oh and DC also welcomed two daughters, Nova (age 6) and Nala (age 2).

DC Young Fly Is Relying On His Faith In God Amid Jacky Oh’s Passing

In his first post following Jacky’s death, DC Young Fly also spoke on their faith in God as a couple–and how he’s leaning into that more than ever.

“You kno we GOD fearing and we are grounded by the spirit, we never question the HIGHER POWER we roll wit the punches and continue to live righteous…will always tell our kids how much an amazing person you were especially a GREAT MOTHER,” the grieving father wrote.

Though he didn’t share details about it, DC Young Fly said he prayed for Jacky during their last conversation and “now we are here.” Written in a tone directly addressing Jacky Oh, DC Young Fly also praised their children for their strength.

“…But it’s ok we willll continue to pray and hold on to our FAITH because that’s alll we kno!! Love you forever and our kids are super strong. they helpin me wit my tranquility no Kap!!!!! The QUEEN of my children will always have a spot in my heart and the paradise (Yu gon get me for Dat but it’s true) LOVE YOU FOREVER jus know we goinn harder than ever and GOD is in control and he got us covered.”

Jacky Oh’s Cause Of Death Remains Unconfirmed As Family & Friends Grieve Her

Early reports of Jacky Oh’s death claimed she passed following cosmetic surgery in Miami. But, such claims have not been confirmed by Jacky’s family, the alleged surgeon, or local police.

Miami PD’s Public Information Officer recently told E! News emergency responders from Miami Fire Department transported Jacklyn Smith from Homewood Suites by Hilton Miami Downtown/Brickell to Mercy Hospital.

On June 1, BET Media Group confirmed their former Wild N’ Out cast member had died. Their statement called her “talented,” with an impact that “will be forever treasured and missed.”

Jacky Oh’s family and friends also released statements and dedication posts of their own.

“It is with sadden hearts we share with you that Jacklyn aka Ms.Jacky Oh has passed away on Wednesday, May 31st 2023,” the family statement said. “Our family is still processing this very tragic and unexpected loss. We ask that you please give us privacy during this time.”

Like DC Young Fly, Jacky’s close friends B. Simone and Brii Renee praised her as a mother, friend, and God-loving woman wanting to strengthen her relationship with Him.

“One of the main things giving me peace right now is the fact that you were intentionally growing your relationship with God. You have always loved God, but the way you were seeking Him recently was just different. Your excitement for Him lately makes me tear up. It’s like you knew you were going to meet him soon so you had to be ready,” B. Simone wrote. “Man, Jack you lived life to the fullest. You were an amazing friend , entrepreneur, and above all a phenomenal mother. I never understood how you balanced all of it but when I become a mom I want to be just like you. You have a village down here that will ALWAYS make sure your children know the exceptional woman their mother was.

On Instagram, Brii Renee wrote:

“Jacky oh my fairy princess, glitter goddess, whimsical unicorn… you are a light! I don’t even have enough slides, words or space to encompass your energy. You are the best mom I’ve ever known and I’m SO glad I told you that all the time. You know how much I adore and admire your drive, your balance, and how authentic and unwavering you are.
