When it comes to Coach Prime, one thing’s for sure — family always comes first. Deion Ain’t Losing Sleep Over It
Now, y’all know Deion Sanders has never been one to hold his tongue — especially when it comes to his kids. After headlines broke that his son, Shilo Sanders, had been cut from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster, the legendary coach and proud dad made it crystal clear that this setback is just part of the bigger plan. During a recent University of Colorado press conference, Deion didn’t flinch when asked about Shilo’s next steps — instead, he reminded everyone that the Sanders legacy doesn’t stop on the field.
While speaking with reporters, Deion let it be known that he wasn’t tripping about his son’s future, saying:

“I prepare my kids for anything in life and in sports..He’s mentally and physically where he needs to be. We’re praying he gets another opportunity, but if he doesn’t, the plans are already in motion. Shilo’s a man of many talents… He’s gonna be straight. All the Sanders are gonna be straight, with or without football.”
Opinions Came Harder Than A Tackle
Folks didn’t waste a second running to The Shade Room comment section to drop their two cents on the Sanders fam. Some praised Deion as a great father who clearly prepared his kids for both the spotlight and the setbacks. Others called out the haters, saying people are sipping heavy on that haterade — especially since, according to them, the Sanders don’t need football, and that’s exactly why folks stay mad.
One Instagram user @__morganmaleisa said, “And that’s what they hate. Shilo and Shedeur don’t NEED football, they want it.“
This Instagram user @envysunny added, “Shilo made $14 million in jersey sales, that’s more than they wanted to pay him for the season, he good. Talk about that💪🏾”
Then, Instagram user @dierichjaeo wrote, “Sometimes you gotta remind haters how broke they are lol“
And, Instagram user @raz_rozay commented, “Be bigger than Just football love how he prepared his kids for this“
While, Instagram user @keron.k.taylor said, “You better believe that🤏🏽🙌🏽💪🏽🔥”
Finally, Instagram user @roselandgb_ added, “Talking bout standing 10 toes 😭 [but] he only got 9 😭”
Shilo Sanders Released, Future Still Bright
Deion Sanders’ comments came after news broke that Shilo was being released from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And, just days after Shilo was ejected from a preseason game for an on-field altercation, in which he reportedly punched a fellow player. Additionally, his removal also comes as NFL teams trim down to their standard 53-man roster. While the timing has sparked conversation online, Coach Prime made it clear that Shiloh stays ten steps ahead. Whether this chapter is over or just a redirection, the Sanders squad moves with purpose, on and off the field.
