NFL legend and reality star Deion “Primetime” Sanders just won a $2.2 million lawsuit against his ex-wife Pilar Sanders who previously claimed that she was victim of domestic violence during their marriage.
Deion and Pilar went from happily married on their reality show together to an extremely messy and public divorce. At the beginning of the divorce Deion was ordered to pay $10.5k a month in child support, but the order was later lifted.
Pilar was arrested at one point because of the fight the two had and a judge ruled that the three children they share would live with Deion. The divorce got really serious when Pilar went online to claim that she had been victim to violence in the marriage. That’s when Deion came in and sued her for defamation of character.
According to TMZ Sports, the money that Pilar is now ordered to pay Deion offsets any money he would have to pay throughout their divorce settlement and she still will have to cough up some cash straight to him. TMZ also reports that Pilar’s attorney says they plan to appeal the decision.
