According to documents obtained by The Blast, Devon is making sure his assets are secure regarding who gets what. DeVon is asking the court to terminate its ability to award either person spousal support. Reports state this typically means there was a prenuptial agreement. Reports also say the estranged couple separated for four months before the official divorce filing.
In addition, it looks like the filing is due to irreconcilable differences. As we reported earlier, the estranged couple released a joint statement released stating, “After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected.” The statement continued, “We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There’s no one at fault, we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love.”
