On Sunday, February 16, Franklin took to Instagram to share a lengthy clip of his proposal to Maria Castillo. Additionally, Franklin shared a lengthy caption explaining how he “produced” the proposal to be an unforgettable moment.” Additionally, he shared a few heartfelt remarks about his and Castillo’s romance
“You know I’m a producer so I wanted to produce a proposal that she would never forget. To do that I knew it had to be a surprise. So I decided to create a diversion by telling her that we were gonna do a Maui photo shoot,” he wrote. “…It took me a lot of work on my heart to get to this moment. Over the last few years, I had to sit in isolation and give myself the time to process the why, when, what and how of my life. I had to get a place of deep understanding of the role I played in my own suffering… meeting Maria was act of God’s love for me. He knew the love I needed and the love she needed and did what only He could do to bring us together.”
Before concluding his caption, Franklin even shared a few words for his fiancée.
“If you look up the word love in the dictionary you will find Maria’s picture. It’s an honor to begin this chapter of life with you…Thank you all for the love and support, it means more than you know ♥️🙏🏾” he added.
