Deyjah Harris, daughter of rapper T.I. Harris, opened up to us about her struggles dealing with depression and anxiety.
In a recently uploaded YouTube video, the 18-year-old reveals that her struggles started as early as 11-years-old, due to bullying.
She stated, “Transparently speaking, depression and anxiety is something I’ve been dealing with since about the age of 11. My self esteem started to become an issue for me in the sixth grade, due to bullying. I started to struggle with understanding what it was I was feeling, and I definitely knew that I wasn’t able to express what it was that I was going through,” she added.

“So, without the proper knowledge and support, I eventually started turning to self inflicted coping mechanisms that weren’t too healthy for me or beneficial for me growth,” the college student stated.
If you recall, just last year, we previously reported that T.I. admitted to going to the gynecologist with Deyjah Harris to check her hymen, which he later said was a joke that went too far.
Regardless, his comments set Al Gore’s innanet on fire and had the world torn. Celebs, including Rah Digga and Jeannie Mae of ‘The Real Talk Show,’ expressed their support for the rapper.
In a series of tweets, Rah Digga admitted she did the same with her daughter.
She wrote,“Well I did it and guess what? When I found out she wasn’t anymore did I berate her..No. Did I kick her out the house..No. I was able to have a convo where she openly told me what it was. And I emphasized being safe. And life went on…So on top of it being criminal for parents to discipline their children they’re trying to make it criminal to monitor their sex lives? FOH!! I STAND WITH @Tip. I know my Twitter bro lol. I have no problem being on an island w/ this one. I ain’t letting yall shame TI out of being an overprotective Dad. Nope. When you have a son you have 1 penis to worry about. When you have a daughter you have EVERYBODY penis to worry about. So the day she turned 18 he went from being an overprotective Dad to pervert? Because any vaginas still in MY house that I gotta provide for are getting policed. Straight like that. All I know is the thought of my Dad finding out about a sex life kept my ass a virgin till I was 19. THANK YOU DAD!!! I dunno what erbody else talmbout…”
Jeannie Mae also said, “What I ask of T.I if he’s really doing this, because he’s clearly concerned about today’s world and that everything promotes sex,” Jeannie says. “I would just say what is it that you’re concerned about when it comes to the breaking of the hymen, or that she’s having sex? Is it the STD’s, is it that she doesn’t understand what love is? Does he need to know the boys? Why doesn’t he trust her?”
T.I. would eventually sit down with Jada Pinkett-Smith on the Red Table Talk and express his stance on the situation. He stated,“From a place of truth, I began to embellish and exaggerate and I think a lot of people took it extremely literal.”
