Congratulations are in order for superstar entertainers Idris Elba and Shakira among many others who lent their voices to Disney’s animated film Zootopia!This movie has smashed a few box office records which includea being in the top 3 biggest releases of all time!
The film originally cost Disney $151 million to make and after it’s March 4th premiere just 8 weeks ago, the film has grossed over $812.1 million! Variety writes that, “Disney noted that “Zootopia” is the second highest grossing Walt Disney Animation Studios release of all time in its original release after “Frozen,” and the third-biggest overall after “Frozen” and “The Lion King. It’s also Disney’s sixth-biggest animated release of all time and the industry’s fifth-biggest original animated film ever.”
For those who haven’t seen it, the movie is about a rabbit police officer and a red fox con artist who uncover a conspiracy that involves the disappearance of evil civilians in a mammalian utopia.
Other actors and actresses that were apart of this intelligent cast include the voices of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, J.K. Simmons, Tommy Chong, Octavia Spencer and Jenny Slate and was brilliantly directed by Byron Howard and Rich Moore and co-directed by Jared Bush.
