Amazon is the next platform to get into the podcasting game, and aside from already offering millions of episodes of free podcasts, they will also be releasing some original shows that will be coming to the platform.
One person that will be coming to the Amazon Music platform with their very own podcast is none other than DJ Khaled.
According to Variety, Amazon has partnered with DJ Khaled for his new podcast “The First One,” which will also be in conjunction with LeBron James’ production company Springhill Company. On the podcast, he’ll be bringing along his amazing personality as listeners will get to hear Khaled interview some of his favorite all-time artists.
In a promotional clip for the podcast, Khaled said, “I’m recording my podcast with the greatest musicians of all time, and with some of my best friends who also happen to be the most iconic artists on the planet. We’ll talk about fame, fortune, life, and success. These stories are here to motivate you because everybody starts from somewhere, from the ordinary to extraordinary. Before you get to another one, you got to get to ‘The First One,’ only on Amazon Music.”
Other entertainers that have landed their own shows of Amazon Music include pop star Becky G. There is also an untitled podcast from Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith’s Westbrook Audio, which is a co-production with Audible. The podcast will be posted to Amazon Music and Audible.
