Sooooo let me get this straight, after women complaining for years on end about how menstrual cramps feel, and sometimes being told we’re dramatic about it–it took a male doctor to finally rule that cramps actually do feel like almost having a heart attack?!
According to #ElleUK, John Guillebaud, Professor of reproductive health at University College London, told Quartz that patients have described the cramping pain as ‘almost as bad as having a heart attack.’
On one hand, maybe this comparison will make trying to explain or describe what cramps feel like to the male species an easier process. On the other hand however, how do you explain it to someone who’s never had a heart attack? Thoughts, #Roommates?
