Roommates, we’re all for wishful thinking during times of trouble, and it looks like y’all president is back with the Twitter fingers! We are in the middle of a global health pandemic, which is reportedly expected to last for months, and Donnie Trump apparently has some “great news” of his own.
In a tweet, Donald Trump takes a break from the coronavirus updates, and gives us some news he’s quite proud of. According to him, Americans will be able to buy more American cars as more affordable rates, which in turn will create more jobs.
Great news! American families will now be able to buy safer, more affordable, and environmentally friendly cars with our new SAFE VEHICLES RULE. Get rid of those old, unsafe clunkers. Build better and safer American cars and create American jobs. Buy American!

Trump has announced that in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak, his administration is working to help United States auto workers with his newest proposal. The proposal would apparently lower the average price of a car by more than $3,500, and make American cars safer.
The gag is… we’re on lockdown! People are confused what they need cars for because we can’t go outside, and many people are working from home or have been laid off, as businesses are closing! We aren’t too sure why Trump’s focus has shifted so drastically, but can only hope he’s just trying to rebuild the economy in the midst of this crazy time.
As we previously reported, Trump declared nationwide social distancing guidelines, which he has recently extended to April 30th. He decided to extend the restrictions based on criticism from public health experts, who are growing increasingly worried about the spread of the coronavirus.
So, sit tight, Roomies, because we’ll be inside for a little while longer!
