#Roommates, #Donnie is extremely happy #TigerWoods won the Masters yesterday. So much so, he’s decided to give the golfer the highest medal a civilian in the United States can receive.
According to the White House, The Medal recognizes “those individuals who have made ‘an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.” Something Donnie feels Tiger has accomplished with his comeback win in sports “and in life.”
In a tweet Donnie sent out today, he explains why he’s decided to give Tiger this coveted award, saying: “Spoke to @TigerWoods to congratulate him on the great victory he had in yesterday’s @TheMasters, & to inform him that because of his incredible Success & Comeback in Sports (Golf) and, more importantly, LIFE, I will be presenting him with the PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF FREEDOM!”
Now, for the tea… what many people don’t know is that Tiger and Donnie have actually been pals for years. It makes sense given Donnie’s affinity for fine golf course and luxurious country clubs. In fact, @TMZ_TV reports Donnie went golfing with Tiger just a few months go back in February at Trump’s National Golf Club in Jupiter, FL.
I won’t take anything away from Tiger Woods, his Masters’ win can arguably be one of the greatest professional comebacks in sports history considering he hasn’t won a Major in over 10 years.
