TSR Positive Images: Every birthday has been a special one for Zelek Murray but within the past five years, celebrating has taken on a new meaning. Zelek was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer and every day is a celebration. For his 14th birthday, Zelek had no idea that he was going to receive the gift of a lifetime.
From his hospital bed, Zelek received a personal birthday message from his favorite rapper Drake, a gift that Zelek’s mother says meant the world to him. Canadian songwriter Mustafa The Poet told Drizzy about Zelek’s story and helped make the magic happen.
“This was so heartfelt and touching because Drake took the time out to give my son words of encouragement and light during a time that’s been very dark for me and my family,” Zelek’s mother Temeka tells us. “The birthday has touched him in ways I’ll never be able to put into words.”

Temeka says she and Zelek truly appreciate Drake’s gesture and she feels Drizzy needs to be commended for what he’s done for her and her son.
She also wanted to thank everyone who reached out and sent prayers as well as messages of love and encouragement during her son’s battle with brain cancer.
“We truly appreciate all the love and support and we need your continued prayers,” she said.
And this wouldn’t be the first time Drake has went all out for fans in need. Back in 2016, Drake surprised a young cancer patient named Megan at her bedside along with Rihanna.
