Roommates, the marriage (and impending divorce) between Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels appears to have reached a breaking point with the recent birth of their newborn son—but fans get to see where things went wrong on the new season of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.” In a clip from the show that’s currently making the rounds on social media, Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels have very real and painful discussion about the breakdown of their relationship.
Towards the end of the season premiere of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels look like a very different couple than what we saw during their lavish multi-million-dollar wedding. In addition to getting into a verbal altercation, the two attempt to hash out what the problem is.
Erica accuses Safaree of no longer being as interested and committed to being a husband and father now that the reality of his responsibilities have officially set in. She also says that she has been pretty much operating as a single parent because he rarely offers to help her with their young daughter, Safire.
Meanwhile, Safaree says that his attitude comes from the fact that he never imagined that being a husband and father would be so much hard work. He stated that things between him and Erica are not like they were in the beginning and the fun of their relationship is gone.
You’ll recall that the couple just welcomed their baby boy Legend—and Erica also just accused Safaree of having an affair with former “LHH” star (and Joe Budden’s ex) Kaylin Garcia.
