ESPN Reportedly Bans LaVar Ball From All Platforms

Roommates, on Monday Lavar Ball received backlash after he made a comment to First Take host Molly Querim. During the interview, Molly asked if she could switch gears for a moment, to which Lavar answered “You can switch gears with me anytime.”

Though some thought the comment was inappropriate, many people thought it was taken out of context. However, regardless of its interpretation, #ESPN has made the decision to reportedly ban Lavar from every platform in response to what happened.

According to Sports Illustrated, an ESPN spokesperson said they had “no plans moving forward” to use Ball as an on-air guest, an on-the-record source for digital or a background source for ESPN. A representative for Lavar, denies there was any sexual undertone, saying: “at NO time intended or meant to be sexual in nature.”

This isn’t the first time that Lavar has found himself in hot water after making comments on air, back in 2017 he got into an on-air argument with former ‘The Herd’ host Kristine Leahy when he told her to stay in her lane after she questioned his parenting style.

Lavar was on ESPN just days after finding out his eldest son Lonzo Ball was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the New Orleans Pelicans. A move Lavar has publicly criticized. He actually caught up with TMZ, and noted that trading his son Lonzo will result in ZERO championships for the Lakers. A bold statement, given the Lakers just received Anthony Davis in that same trade deal. Though some people feel Lavar should apologize to molly, it’s pretty evident he doesn’t think he did anything wrong.

Roommates, now that you’ve seen the clip. Tells us your thoughts!
