It wasn’t too long ago that we saw Fabolous give his nod of approval to his daughter Taina Williams’ relationship with G Herbo.
And if you’ve been paying attention, there’s a bit of a budding bromance between the two rappers.
Well, Fabolous sat down with WGCI’s Tone Kapone, and spoke on the nature of his relationship with G Herbo and how he feels about him dating Taina. Fab says G Herbo has a good head on his shoulders and that he’s willing to give them advice based on his experience being a rapper in a relationship.
“I’m even able to be kind of like an OG to him on a sense of in their relationship too because she’s now dealing with a rapper,” Fabolous said. “I can even speak from his perspective a little bit and help (Taina) understand…if he’s just going to the studio, she might be thinking, ‘Why he spending so much time in the studio?’ I’m like, ‘that’s his office.’ That’s a rapper’s office.”
Fab of course is speaking from the years of experience he has dating Taina’s mother Emily B, with whom he has fathered two young boys.
“It’s not like (G Herbo) just making it a place where he’s trying to avoid you but that’s his job. He may not even know it,” Fab said. “But still, as a man, it’s still your place to know how to balance them two things. It’s something that I’ve learned in my maturity but he’s got it. He’s a good dude overall.”
G Herbo and Taina have gotten pretty serious this past year and with Fab’s approval, only time will tell if the young couple will take those next steps to something a little bit more serious.
As far as Fab goes, there have only been rumors that he wifed his longtime girlfriend Emily B, but no official receipts have surfaced to support those claims.
