A Florida mom, Nathalie Belizaire, is facing serious charges after authorities say a weekend getaway allegedly turned into a troubling situation involving her four young children including a 2-month-old baby.
According to North Miami Beach police, 29-year-old Nathalie Belizaire allegedly left all four children home alone while she boarded a three-day Carnival cruise to the Bahamas. Investigators say Belizaire had told the father of her infant that the children would be staying with their great-grandmother while she was away. However, authorities say that plan never happened.
Folks quickly ran to The Shade Rooms Instagram comment section to weigh in on the allegations, with many expressing disbelief over the situation. While some questioned how Nathalie Belizaire could allegedly leave her children home alone, others suggested she may not have believed she was doing anything wrong.
One Instagram user @nyeshiaaaaa commented, “Sis told them kids ‘Figure It Out’ ”
This Instagram user @crownsbypaulette added, “Im convinced. The parents are the problem not the children.”
And, Instagram user @xoxo_aubraay shared, “Gone ahead add the charge for that dry wig too!!!!!!!”
Meanwhile, Instagram user @_chocolatte wrote, “Now shes getting an even longer vacation! DH!”

Finally, Instagram user @geishalee claimed, “How you gonna be in the middle of the ocean knowing you got kids on land ”
Police say the children were ultimately discovered Saturday night after their father went to Belizaires apartment and noticed the television on through the blinds. He reportedly heard the children inside and called 911. Officers and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the home and forced entry, where police say they found all four children without adult supervision and hiding together in a bathroom.
According to the arrest report, the childrens great-grandmother told investigators that Belizaire had said she would bring the kids over because she was going out of town, but she never did. Police also said Belizaires brother told them that she texted him around 8 p.m. Saturday, instructing him to check on the children. Investigators say they attempted to contact Belizaire multiple times but were unsuccessful.
Authorities later determined that Belizaire had boarded a three-day Carnival cruise on Sept. 25. Police arrested her Monday after she returned to PortMiami. She was charged with four counts of child neglect without great bodily harm. Belizaires attorney has denied the allegations on her behalf. A judge set her bond at $10,000 and ordered her to stay away from the children, who were reportedly placed in foster care.
