#Roommates, Floyd Mayweather is well-known for his endless amounts of coins and now he’s using his considerable wealth to hopefully usher in a new era of financially successful individuals within the Black community. It was recently announced that Floyd Mayweather, along with CGI Merchant Group, have entered into a new investment partnership of over $200 million with the goal of expanding generational wealth.
@Forbes reports, Floyd Mayweather and CGI Merchant Group, LLC (CGI), just confirmed their brand new investment collaboration. Mayweather has partnered with real estate and private equity firm CGI Merchant Group and its $650 million Hospitality Opportunity Fund. His goal is to create generational wealth for all, while also providing other athletes with the tools and education to achieve success outside of the sports world. In order to successfully achieve this platform-level investment partnership, they hope to deploy more than $250 million in commercial real estate assets, that will be open to athletes, celebrities, and select family offices.
Speaking about his latest monetary business move, Floyd Mayweather had this to say:
“My focus is on creating generational wealth and doing it with partners that share my values and drive for excellence. After getting to know CGI, I saw an opportunity to collaborate and share with other athletes and friends my ambition of establishing long-term wealth outside of sports through real estate investing. I want my business impact to be equal to or greater than my sporting impact, and I want to show other athletes that great financial success can be obtained outside of sports.”
Additionally, outside of this new venture there is also the Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation that targets the Black community through health and wellness. The mission of the foundation is to “enhance family structures through community development, entrepreneurship, and education in order to create a healthy community.”
