According to the World Boxing Organization, Floyd is likely to be stripped of his 147 lbs. championship belt (the belt he won from Manny Pacquiao) on Monday for failing to comply with organization rules.
The WBO expected Floyd to vacate the WBA and WBO 154 lbs. belt for the 147 lbs. title and has not done so, which is resulting in this consequence.
This confiscation is ironic seeing as how Floyd made a statement back in March about relinquishing his titles and ending his career with a perfect record.
He later backtracked on that statement, for what his attorney called, “sufficient time to decide whether or not he really wants to vacate.”
