One of Floyd Mayweather’s bodyguards was shot in the leg outside of an Atlanta hotel early Monday morning. According to CNN, the bodyguard was in a motorcade of three vehicles traveling to a hotel in Buckhead around 3 a.m. when the incident took place. Investigators say there’s evidence that “the shooter was targeting the victim’s vehicle.”
Floyd Mayweather was not hurt. “We believe that Mr. Mayweather may have been in one of the other vehicles in the caravan and was not injured,” an Atlanta Police Department news release said. Sources say the championship boxer’s team was returning to the hotel after a nearby club appearance.
Sources say the bodyguard (who has not been identified) is currently in stable condition and is recovering at Grady Hospital.
