Recent footage shows Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, apologizing to Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, a prominent celebrity Rabbi, for his previous antisemitic remarks toward the Jewish community.
According to the New York Post, on Tuesday, November 4, Ye sat down with Rabbi Pinto and explained, using a translator, that he was feeling “really blessed” to be able to “take accountability.”
“I was dealing with some various issues of bipolar, so it would take the ideas I had and have me take them to an extreme where I would forget about the protection of the people around me or and myself,” Ye explained to the rabbi. “… Sometimes people arent that knowledgeable about bipolar and the cause, or what causes it, and the way you act when you have this disease. So it’s like if you left the house and you left your kid at the house and your kid went and messed up the kitchen… and when you get back, it’s your responsibility ’cause that’s your child. And that’s the way that I looked at it.”
Ye called the reality a “big deal,” adding that it was important for him to “come and take accountability for all of the things that [he’s] said.” Furthermore, he thanked the rabbi for embracing him with “open arms” and for allowing him to “make amends.”
In turn, the rabbi called Ye “a very good man,” and wished nothing but “good things” upon him and others moving forward.
Per the New York Post, Ye’s apology arrives after he threatened to go “death con 3 on Jewish people” in 2022. Earlier this year, he reportedly released a song titled ‘Heil Hitler,’ along with swastika T-shirts. Despite this, a few weeks later, he reportedly proclaimed he was “done with antisemitism.”
“I love all people. God forgive me for the pain Ive caused. I forgive those who have caused me pain. Thank you God,” he reportedly stated at the time.
To note, Ye also issued a similar apology to the community in December 2023, per The Shade Room.

After a while it’s like, ‘I forgive a n***a for talking,'” he said. “God forgives, bro, so we should all forgive. You can’t be holding s**t over people forever.
